HSA Contribution Limits
2011
The annual changes in the maximum contribution limits for Health Savings Account participants are
based on the rate of inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). These changes are announced in
May of the preceeding year which in this case was May 2010 based on the 2009 inflation rate. Since there was
little or no inflation in 2009, the limits remained unchanged in 2011.
Health Savings Account Contribution Limits
Single Individual - $3050 per year
Family - $6150 per year
If the plan owner is 55 or older they can contribute an extra $1000 per
